No estaba acostumbrado a ver tanta gente.

The Gospel according to Santo Tomás of Tablada

The best player of all time of the football from Rosario explained truths and lies of his legend. Testimonies and anecdotes of those who lived closely to the Mince.

The old people say that like him there will be another equal and that his talent was upper, even, to the of Diego Armando Maradona. With these data, and without having had the luxury to enjoy it in a field, speak with the Mince.

The landscape adorned by the trades of the street Mendoza indicates us that the sanctuary of the family Carlovich is near. The

pilgrimage west of Rosario finishes when the Mince runs the curtains, opens the door and invites us to happen. The house is dim and the air conditioned does us forget the climate of the afternoon. The Messíah is barefoot and saw a t-shirt Lacoste green colour. It suffers a slight lame, takes  the hip and says us: " I increased twenty kilos, can not play to the football and neither walk in bicycle?. Also it explains us that it needs to operate of the hip, but the intervention is very costly. A group of faithful apostles evaluates the possibility to arm a split homage to raise funds and make possible his recovery.

THE LEFT-HANDED And HIS MAGIC

The neighbourhood Belgrano was witness of the first

prophecy of the Mince. In those west , the man began his training like footballer, until his coined carried it to Central Rosary. ?I was a year in the Inferior and to the 16 went me to play to Bigand. Afterwards I went back to Head office and played two parties in First. They promised me that it went to be headline, but did not fulfil me and did not want to play more. They failed me of word and this damaged me a lot. It were 22 years old and it wanted to withdraw me?, it begins relating.

Eduardo Quinto Pagés was his mate in Head office Córdoba and finishes an anecdote that paints of whole body his go through Arroyito. ?He did what wanted with the ball. They explain that in the Fourth and while it expected to go in in a party... They explained it to me, I did not see it?, it sentences the ex goalkeeper and now medical.

LIFE And WORK OF GOD IN TABLADA

The Mince descended of the skies and landed in Gabino Sosa in 1972. One of his disciples, Jorge Ainsa, convinced it to continue with his preach in the football and raised his temple in the south. ?They presented me in a friendly against Sarmiento of Junín, win 2-0 and did the two goals?, it explains his baptism with the blue. To the following year and with the wisdom of Tomás, the Charrúa won of tip to tip the First C.

The neighbourhood Tablada was his second home and nine years afterwards had it like participant of another olympic turn. The Mince hit the turn to request of the technician Eduardo Bermúdez. ?It said me that it was the sun, the light, the water (laughs). Afterwards I had big problems with him. It did statements out of place. We shut us in a piece under key and said that while it was he, did not go to play more. It had said me that it rest, that in the next party went to title, but in the week warned me that it went to leave the same team. I said him that the man has to have word and he failed me, therefore it is not man. Equally, it does a time us rediscover and apologised me?, it limits Tomás.

Little time afterwards, returned to the titularity, after the remoteness of Bermúdez and with 35 years, gave  the luxury to go back to be champion. ?The day of the first final against Almagro had rained a lot and in the field of Newell´s there was water by all sides. He played of air and of swearword all the afternoon, and until put a goal to the angle?, it remembers Quinto Pagés, Goalkeeper of the winning team of the Tournament.

For the lovers of the round, the Mince was God. But there were afternoons that his rival sinners suffered the divine punishment. ?As it was of exquisite, also was to put some *coditos and some *planchitas. It hit in such a way that it did not see it anybody and finished *lastimados the contrary?, account Víctor Longo, a player that shared the first and last miracles of the Mince in Tablada. You inflate them charrúas come close some anecdote on his game of friction in the football of promotion. ?Against School, litigated  with a contrary forward. It put him the tip of the elbow on the neck and the referee threw them to the two. In the old tunnel, expected , and put him so many pineapples, that the rival had to command  to the field so that it do not hit him more. It was a type with all the ones of the law?, account Mario Falcón, a habitué of the old *tablones of Gabino Sosa. And the Crazy Darío *Dippe, another unconditional of *Tablada, seating on a table of the bar Lido, *rememora: ?The five of *Morón ran it by all the field, hit him, bit it, did him of everything and the referee did not earn at all. To the touch, the Mince banked them to the two in the half and to the past, put them a *codazo that left them ironed in the flat, following as if at all with the ball under the left-handed?.

The King Carlovich

Mendoza, the earth of the sun and of the good wine, went the territory chosen by the Mince to follow evangelize with his very played football. ?When they sold me to Independent Rivadavia, thought that it went me to Japan... It was not accustomed to travel, but armed  a barbaric group and go out champions?, it says Tomás. The debut was in the classical provincial in front of Saint Martín, put a goal of head and put four happen goal. This same afternoon, had passage to Rosario, because it did fifteen days that was in Mendoza and miss the neighbourhood. To three stables of the field was the route where happened the *micro, but they wanted that it remained me. At the end, a leader carried me in car, expected me two days and afterwards went back to Mendoza. There I was the King. It finished the practice, went to a sell clothes or to eat to a restaurant and did not want to me earn. It was, beside Head office Córdoba, one of the clubs where have better memories?, it affirms.

Ricardo Palm, approaches another history of the King Carlovich. ?When it arrived to Mendoza, all the guys had the rower of Víctor (Legrotaglie, an idol From Mendoza). To the following year, were all with the one of the Mince. And this saw it with my eyes, no explained it to me anybody, it indicates the ex technician.

In 1977, it went back to try in the big football with the T-shirt of Columbus. But in Saint Faith, the injuries prevented him continue with his preach. First a problem in the knee, afterwards a tear, and finally, the break of the adductor. El Vasco Urrolabetía, that was the technician, mistrusted of my injury and went to a medical board. When they saw me the purple leg, full of blood, held  the head. I went up me the trousers and did not go back more, it explains the Mince.

WHAT DANCE MATE...!

Like this it titled the newspaper Crónica of Rosario the brilliant performance of the Selected of Rosario in front of the Argentinian Selection. On 17 April 1974, the combined hit him a dance of those to the national team that afterwards would contest the World-wide of Germany, won him 3-1 and the Mince gave chair. ?We joint us a pair of hours before in a hotel and the technicians (Griguol ) warned me that it went to title. When I went out to the field of Newells, there was a spectacular frame. It was not accustomed to see so many people. And what want to? It wanted to have the ball to each while. That was a night that went out me all, besides there was big players. The people that was this day in the field, no forgets it to him more?, it remembers Carlovich.

THE MAN OF THE LOW CAPS

?Always I had problems with the new booties. It carried them to him to a fellow carpenter, so that it go down the caps like this could step better the ball. Before it was another thing, these shoes used them for the rain, sand. Now all changed for well. Always I used the classical Adidas? it confesses the Mince and finalises explaining that it did not use bandages neither jamb. ?But playing against Students of Buenos Aires, used jamb and Bravo, a player of them, put me a kick that broke me the protection and gave me four stitchs?.

The destination wanted that Tomás Felipe Carlovich converted his last goal in front of the team of *Jáuregui that in the past also was blessed with his presence. ?It remained me recorded, because it was behind him. They put the barrier, put  at the side of the ball and as with the hand nailed it in the angle.
